Rohan Crone which you get, you will find it is so useful. The guide for the spellcasting in Rohah is for you, and I hope you will like it.
There are two things you want to keep in mind in regards to spellcasting. The first is that you only have a limited number of spell slots at each level, and one of those will always be taken up with the Cure Wounds of that level to represent Spontaneous Casting. Because of this, you either need to do a bit of planning ahead as to what spells to memorize before entering a dungeon or adapt on the fly when you get to a rest shrine in the dungeon.
Obviously, someone that has done the dungeon before and can tell you what to expect is helpful here. The second thing to keep in mind is that your spell points do not regenerate until you rest at a shrine or in a tavern, so do not get so carried away casting your full arsenal of spells that you run out of spell points. If you run out of spell points, the best case is that it will put your group in a bind and the worst case is it will cause your group to be wiped out.
You do not want to be known by the title Wiper of Groups, just trust us on that one. Use your spell points wisely. If your group melee fighters can easily dispatch a group of monsters, let them. Your goal should be to see Mission Completed in the XP box, not the highest number of kills next to your name.
