Is this a decision that was made to look at increasing the revenue that is brought in by the World Of Warcraft Gold? Honestly, I do not know why anyone would expect anything different from a major, multinational corporation, no matter what product they make. Hell, I know Haggis rakes in the cash for their product and no one complains that on top of all of those diapers, the people at Haggis makes us pay for Baby Wipes too!
My point here is that the ultimate goal of video game companies is to make money. Yes, it is entertainment. Yes the developers do care about the quality of the game that they are making, but no one outside of maybe some of the smallest in die companies, is doing it out of their sheer love of games and gamers. They have bills to pay, they have profits to make, etc. etc. etc. Such is the way of the world.
So really, we should not be arguing about whether or not Blizzard is looking out for their bottom line. They are. There is no question, nor should there be.
