Executives at Sulake decided to pull the plug on Habbo news articles last month, dubbing them as "a waste of resources, time and money" as only a small fraction of the community take note of them. As a result, a major revamp occurred among Habbo Staff members which led to the complete clearout of some offices in some countries.Hundreds of users an hour are flocking to the discussion board to add their input into the row which Habbo credits has yet to comment on.Sulake now notifies users of important information through social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, and through their new blog, which launched last week.A source said: "Sulake says they do not have the 'time, money or resources' to invest in news articles when only a fraction of the community read them, yet plunge thousands into a blog which is external to the website, and therefore less likely to be read. Where is the logic?"
